Builder.ai Raises $100M Series C Funding Led by Global Software Investor Insight Partners

Startups offering tools for people who want to develop apps with minimal coding-related toil have been racking up a lot of funding rounds in recent months. Indications are that’s likely to continue.

When we started covering Builder.ai a few years ago, the startup was tapping into a new wave of businesses wanting their own native apps. The previous wave of agency-built and outsourced apps was waning, and Builder.ai realized it could tap into this trend by creating a turnkey, almost drag and drop approach, at least on feature requests. In 2019 it raised one of Europe’s largest Series A investments at the time, at $29.5 million, led by Lakestar and Jungle Ventures.

A British AI start-up has raised 100 million dollars (£76 million) to expand its business that aims to help customers build apps with no knowledge or experience of coding. The Series C funding round brings Builder.ai’s total funding to 195 million dollars (£148 million) since it launched in 2016

Today, the newest member of the low-code club to report a $100 million round was Builder.ai. The London-headquartered company, which provides a low-code app development platform, announced that it raised $100 million in a Series C funding round led by Insight Partners.
